Goodreads Synopsis:

Sometimes, all it takes is perspective to appreciate the simple things, or a little extra concern for the frailty of the present moment to fully understand what makes life worth living. And sometimes, all it takes is a little shove in the right direction.

When Bobby Canfield was eleven years old, he received a message from a mysterious presence called Mac. The delivery of this message was through a Ouija board, and it would forever change Bobby's life. After all, it's not every day you find out when you are going to die."Sometimes all it takes is perspective to appreciate the simple things, or a little extra concern for the frailty of the present moment to fully understand what makes life worth living."

What would you do if you were told the year you were going to die?

Review:

The year is 1988 when Bobby is invited to sit with three young girls. At the age of just 11 years old the invitation was too enticing to resist. The girls are preparing to use a Ouija Board to talk to their grandfather, Mac. Bobby is given a message that he has a purpose and that he must fulfill it the same year he is going to die. The years drift by, life has been lived, and the time has come.

Be still my heart, this story was amazing in so many ways. The beauty in the writing reaches out and takes a hold, threading its way through the heart and soul. This one is going on my extra special list!
5 Hearts

There is a second story included called 'The Widower'. A grieving widow, a horrific creature, bits of painful moments and grossly entertaining. A definite horror thrill!
